Spring has Sprung
Thursday, 17 April 2008

Spring is finally upon us and we couldn't be happier here at the Irish Perennial Rescue Society.  We've already begun working on countless rescue projects throughout the world.  Some of our handiwork has been added to the Photo Gallery.

IPRS accepts Oregon Chapter Bid.
Monday, 14 January 2008

iprs-small.jpgWe receive lot's of emails but when we received this one a few days ago it moved us to act fast as well as share it with all of our IPRS Devotees.  It's hard to argue with this email which captures the spirit of the IPRS so throughtfully.  Welcome Kathy and Jim, new West Coast Regional Reps!  BORU!  BORU!  BORU!!!

Dear Mr. O'Callahan

We are delighted by your new website and would love to become your West Coast Regional Representatives for the Irish Perennial Rescue Society. We have many ideas that could further the cause, including getting an Oregon Perennial Day established, including a parade; recruiting perennial apostles; furthering purchases from the website through an education program, etc. We of course, would need no funds and would exist solely by our wits and fly by the seat of our pants.

As a start, we would purchase our magnetic signs for our vehicles, t-shirts to identify the order, a thong for Jim and buttons and magnets.  We assume that John B. Keane, is the artist and vendor for all of your goods. We especially like the crisp, clean, white look of your products (Your landscape planter must have had something to do with that theme). We believe that we can grow the Oregon Chapter quickly and successfully.  The by-product of all this tomfoolery is raising the vibration of this sad and sorry planet!  We honor your efforts and strongly suggest the establishment of other chapters around the US.  As a gift from us to you, I will work to create a melody to accompany the Ballad of Boru.

Please let us know soon as to our acceptance into this world wide, ancient and long-respected society.  We are looking forward to the initiation process.

On a final note, one suggestion is to move the description of the society to the top of your home page with the picture of the IPRS Sprouts, directly below it, so readers are captured immediately. Just a suggestion and certainly left up to your discretion.

Sincerely,

Kathy and Jim
